Camera works 1 is a new portfolio of image created from Giles’ vast archival collection of negatives, they reflect his love & influence of early 20th century photography. “Camera Work” was a photographic magazine that existed between 1903 & 1917, published in New York by the great photographic pioneer Alfred Stieglitz, the magazine was first to champion photography as an art form & an important landmark in the history of photography.
Using these publications as my template I have tried to recreate the look & feel of the early photographers that have been such an influence on my own work. Giles Norman
