"the scenery I encountered in yosemite is on so grand a scale it’s awe inspiring. sheer cliff faces sit along side deep valleys, the waterfalls are so high they look like they touch the clouds above.

yosemite national park is situated in eastern california, made famous by the work of ansel adams. this most dramatic of places has long been on the ‘must visit’ list of giles norman. he finally got there in march 2004. working under the heavenly gaze of a past master, he created his first american portfolio, some of which you can see here.
